Community Sailing New Orleans is the only community sailing center in Louisiana. Our programming is open to the public, and there is no membership requirement. We offer youth, adult, and adaptive sailing programs at no or minimal cost so that anyone can learn how to sail and experience the water regardless of socioeconomic status. Many youths in New Orleans face limited access to quality recreational activities, STEM education, and career exploration opportunities, especially in underserved communities. Financial barriers, lack of exposure, and systemic inequities contribute to these challenges.

Our mission is to enable everyone who wants to experience the sport and recreation of sailing to do so. We address these issues by providing accessible and inclusive programming. Our programs are offered at no to minimal cost, with financial assistance available to anyone in need.

We offer a variety of youth, adult, and adaptive sailing programs that range from learn-to-sail clinics to Special Olympics to educational and career development programs such as STEM Design+Build+Sail and Crew to Captain Maritime Career Development.
