The Brooke Erin Posey Foundation was founded in April of 2019 to honor the memory of Brooke Posey, 17, who was taken from us too soon. In 2017, her swim team, the Seagulls with the Southern Yacht Club, started the Brooke E. Posey Swim-a-Thon at the end of their swim season. The swim-a-thon has been a wonderful event for everyone to come together and celebrate Brooke and her love for children. We have raised over $132,000 in eight years for local children's charities. On June 7, 2025 the event will be raising funds for Heart of Passion.

There are games, a parade of prizes, online auction, food, music and of course, lap swimmer's.

The Brooke's Act of Kindness movement supports our Brooke's Little Libraries, Brooke's Kindness Bags and other acts of kindness in our area.
