Our Camp F.L.O. program needs your help.

“Screens off. Books up. Let’s get outside.” That’s our motto. It’s what guides how we show up for our students every day. When they unplug, read, and get outside, something shifts. You can see it in how they carry themselves, how they talk, and how they begin to believe in what’s possible for them.

Believe In U and Camp F.L.O. were founded by brothers Usama Young  and Yusuf Young. Usama, a former NFL athlete, uses his platform and network to open doors. Yusuf, a lifelong educator, works directly with students and schools to build programs that turn those opportunities into real growth. Together, their work is rooted in meeting students where they are and giving them something real to grow into.

At Camp F.L.O., we teach students that reading matters because it opens doors. We create outdoor experiences because young people need to move, explore, and figure things out in real time. For many of our students, being outside isn’t common, and when they finally experience it, it changes how they think, how they feel, and how they see themselves.

We’ve seen it firsthand: students who once shut down in the classroom begin leading on the hiking trail and at the campsites where they solve problems and hold each other accountable. With your support, we can continue creating those moments for more young people.

 $10 helps to purchase food that the boys devour on our camping trip such as hot dogs, hamburgers, s'mores, fresh fruit and juices. 

$50 helps to purchase camping gear such as sleeping bags, tents, personal toiletries as well as journals and books that we read and write in under the stars. 

$150 helps to offset the cost of transportation to and from different campsites and trails we hike throughout the state of Louisiana and Mississippi.

$500 sponsors a student and pays for a an entire semester of programming. This level of donation will help us grow and expand to more schools and share this unique program with the students who need it most.

As we grow our Camp F.L.O program we have taken a deliberate approach to using design thinking and project based learning that incorporates behavioral data and turns that data into short stories that students immediately put into practice while on their outdoor adventures. Our Camp F.L.O program curates excursions and learning opportunities for the young people who need it most! During our outdoor adventures our students learn about conflict resolution and emotional regulation with the great outdoors as their backdrop.
