The mission of Ashé Cultural Arts Center is to use art and culture to support human, community, and economic development. We celebrate the people, places, and philosophies of the African diaspora through Art and Culture, Social Justice, Health Equity, Community Development, and Economic Wealth Building. In doing so, we aim to foster conscientious community, equitable human development, and transformative civic engagement. Ashé Cultural Arts Center thrives at the intersection of Community, Culture, and Commerce. For the last 26 years, the organization has helped build capacity in the New Orleans communities that experience the city's worst socioeconomic impacts while concurrently providing the basis for public and private wealth. We pride ourselves on providing community convenings and engagement, artist opportunities, meaningful programming, economic development opportunities. Ashé has solidified its role as a key arts and culture anchor in the New Orleans community, and we continue to infuse meaningful cultural celebration into the daily life of our city and to support others who share our ongoing quest for justice, peace and prosperity.
