Louisiana United Methodist Children and Family Services (LUMCFS) is a faith-based nonprofit with a mission of guiding children and families home to experience God's love.

Beginning as an orphanage in North Louisiana in 1902, the Louisiana Methodist Children's Home has been striving to meet the needs of Louisiana's children and families for over 115 years. Throughout this time, as society has changed, our organization has evolved to meet the ever-changing needs of Louisiana's most vulnerable children and families.

Today, our services have expanded to include intensive residential treatment, family preservation, educational and prevention services. At our residential facilities, such as the Louisiana Methodist Children's Home of Greater New Orleans, we provide care, support, and a safe place for boys ages 6-11 who are unable to live in less supportive settings, such as family, foster care, or group homes. Our goal in our residential facilities and in our other services is always to reunite families and promote healthy family life.
