I serve on the board of Wake, a nonprofit devoted to meaningful, affordable, environmentally sustainable deathcare. Wake is raising money to launch a first-of-its kind Deathcare Provider Training to train members of our community to provide basic care to loved ones when they inevitably have to deal with this phase of life. Here are some examples of what your donation can do: $15 - Seed: Plants important end-of-life information on our website and on partner sites so that people know about this free educational opportunity. $25 - Sprout: Helps us to create a packet of hand-outs for the training course. $50 - Branch: Pays for an optional certification exam that demonstrates the skills necessary to provide community deathcare on behalf of Wake, or to paying clients. $100 - Tree: Helps us to secure a location for the training. $250 - Forest: Provides a 50% match for the cost of one student attending this intensive 3-day training.
