Our caring and dedicated staff provide environmental education and career-building opportunities, helping to create a more sustainable and equitable future for the greater New Orleans region. Right now, more than ever, we could use your support. Looking at the next year, roughly half of our budget was sourced through several multi-year federal grants; now those funds are threatened to be reduced or even retracted. Regardless of these cuts, it is undeniable that the green and blue economies are crucial economic drivers in New Orleans and throughout Louisiana. Louisiana Green Corps provides environmental education and career building opportunities for people aspiring to improve their lives and our community. Since 2008, Louisiana Green Corps (LAGC) has directly intervened in South Louisiana's construction and conservation economies by offering paid, on-the-job training to ensure that New Orleanians have opportunities in these lucrative, growing industries. LAGC has worked with 1500+ disadvantaged job seekers to provide them with the training and certification needed to secure and maintain quality employment.
