I am a board member and currently serving as the board chair for Louisiana Green Corps. I am so proud to serve this organization that provides training in critical skills that are necessary to make Louisiana a more resilient state as we continue to grapple with extreme weather events. The training and certifications help our graduates earn living wage jobs in construction, stormwater management, solar, energy efficiency and more.

Louisiana Green Corps provides environmental education and career building opportunities for people aspiring to improve their lives and our community. Since 2008, Louisiana Green Corps (LAGC) has directly intervened in South Louisiana's construction and conservation economies by offering paid, on-the-job training to ensure that New Orleanians have opportunities in these lucrative, growing industries. LAGC has worked with 1500+ disadvantaged job seekers to provide them with the training and certification needed to secure and maintain quality employment.
