My mission is urgent: close the literacy gap, boost student success, and help every child become a confident reader. Through coaching, modeling, and planning, I’ve seen the power of supported educators and empowered students. Our efforts are paying off—Louisiana’s 4th-grade reading scores jumped from 50th in 2019 to 16th in 2024—the biggest gain in the U.S., per the Nation’s Report Card. But our work isn’t done.
