At Big Easy Animal Rescue, I have had a unique opportunity to assist in many different ways. With this rescue is where I started my journey alongside animal welfare. Never would I have thought that my days would revolve around volunteering with cats in New Orleans. Yet here I am, eternally thankful that I am able to assist the community and homeless pet population by volunteering here. Every second that I have spent alongside this wonderful organization has helped make a significant impact on the pet population. Even more so, I adopted my wonderful kitty from here and together we have been able to foster dozens of cats. Without the presence of Big Easy Animal Rescue, many of these animals would have never been given the chance that they needed. Big Easy Animal Rescue (B.E.A.R.) is a local, woman-led non-profit powered by an all-volunteer crew. We rescue, foster, and care for neglected and abused animals in the Greater New Orleans area. This year's funds will support a mobile unit to spay, neuter, and deliver critical medical services within low-income neighborhoods. Animals are forever friends who give us unconditional love.
