Fundraiser Story

f/504 (fstop504) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building community and empowering artists to create, explore, and connect. Whether it's through pop-up photography events at museums, weekly figure drawing classes, open studio days, portfolio reviews, or exhibitions, our goal is simple: to make sure every artist has the opportunity to create, together.

Since 2021, f/504 has been entirely volunteer-run. As a newly established nonprofit, community support is essential to keeping our programs thriving. Even small costs add up quickly, such as software subscriptions for managing outreach, website hosting costs, printing materials, liability insurance for events, and even snacks to welcome our community members.

We're committed to stretching every dollar as far as possible, but we've seen firsthand how powerful small donations can be.

Every contribution helps us sustain and grow programming where creativity and community come first.

Through our work, we:

-Help artists build portfolios without the financial barrier of high-cost studios

-Operate Lapin's Workshop, a community studio for art-making, collaboration, and connection -Promote sustainability through creative reuse and seasonal clothing swaps

-Support local venues by activating their spaces and providing professional creative content -Offer emerging artists their first opportunities to exhibit work in galleries

-Host free or low-cost events where models, photographers, and artists can collaborate

Donate today to a small nonprofit that stretches every dollar to support artists, foster collaboration, and build a thriving creative community.

About the Organization

fstop504 (f/504) is a New Orleans-based nonprofit and creative collective dedicated to providing artists, photographers, and models access to unique and historically rich spaces for creative exploration. Through themed photo events, exhibitions, and workshops, we open the doors to the city's most beautiful and historic venues, inviting people to create in spaces they may not have discovered otherwise. By activating these locations, we also support small businesses, cultural institutions, and nonprofits, generating organic content while fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment for creatives of all backgrounds.
