You know that our family loves to camp. If you're reading this, we've likely camped together or we've stopped in on a visit on our way to or from a camping trip. You may not know that, for the past ten years, Jessica has been involved with an organization to extend outdoors education, adventure and leadership development to kids across the Greater New Orleans area. Like our family, LOOP NOLA believes that time in nature is an essential part of living well, and that "everyone belongs outdoors". LOOP NOLA's mission is to provide positive, life-changing outdoor experiences to children and youth in Greater New Orleans. We were founded to address the lack of opportunity for urban youth to experience the physical and mental health benefits of the outdoors and to develop a personal connection with nature. By experiencing outdoor activities in a safe and supportive environment, young people learn to push past perceived limitations and gain the confidence to reach for their lifelong goals.
