Eighty-seven residents in Louisiana have been wrongfully incarcerated for, on average, 18 years of their lives. Representative Nicholas Muscarello and Attorney General Liz Murrill are now trying to pass HB 673 to amend postconviction laws to make it nearly impossible for any more innocent people to be freed, as well as HB 675 which would abolish the state wrongful conviction fund.
