One Book One New Orleans matters to me because I believe everyone should have access to stories that connect and inspire them. Being part of this organization lets me support literacy in a real way, by helping more people find a love for reading and a sense of community through it. I’m proud to be part of a group that brings people together and makes reading a bigger part of everyday life.

One Book One New Orleans is a nonprofit organization that supports literacy, builds community, and promotes meaningful dialogue between people of diverse backgrounds by calling on all New Orleanians to share the experience of reading and discussing a selected book each year, and providing literacy resources to organizations and individuals throughout our community.
