About the Organization
Boys Town Louisiana's mission is to change the way America cares for children and families.
Through research-based care, we provide safe homes, in-home support, and community-based services that help Louisiana's most vulnerable children and families heal and thrive.
Founded in 1917 by Father Edward J. Flanagan, Boys Town began as a refuge for children facing abuse, neglect, homelessness, or involvement with the juvenile justice system. Today, Boys Town Louisiana (BTLA) is one of six national affiliate sites within the nonsectarian, nonprofit Boys Town network-proudly carrying forward a legacy of compassionate, comprehensive care for children and families in need.
