I am proud to be the parent of an amazing LGBTQ+ 20 yr old. My journey as an ally started decades ago; but as a parent of a kid whose very existence has been weaponized, I am more passionate than ever to ensure all LGBTQ+ individuals have a safe space to connect with Community, have access to resources and the opportunity to celebrate the JOY that comes from being authentically who they are. As a New Orleans Pride Center Board member, I am humbled by the incredible volunteers who are giving countless hours to ensure our programs and services are delivered exceptionally well. The NOPC is the ONLY physical LGBTQ Community Center in all of LA. We are the only ALL ages LGBTQ+ Community Center in a 300 mile radius in all directions.
