Fundraiser Story

I know the value of the performing arts as a steady diet in our lives. Exposing young people to live theatre, music, dance, acting and all the design elements of scenic art, props, sound and lighting designs, costuming and so much more is a major goal and focus of the Jefferson Performing Arts. For 47 years JPAS has enriched thousands and our alumni are teaching in schools and universities, performing on Broadway and otherwise are tax paying, working adults in the arts. In order to better serve and reflect the values of our community we led the charge to build the $55 million Jefferson Performing Arts Center and there is universal agreement that creating this palace of art was the right decision. "Build and they will come" rings true for the mission of JPA and our work in Metairie and in the beautiful Westwego Performing Arts Theatre. Please donate what you can to support our entry into our 48th Season. Thank You
