The work of Promise of Justice Initiative matters to me because I believe in a Louisiana where dignity, fairness, and human life are valued — not discarded by an unjust system. At PJI, we fight to end the death penalty, confront wrongful convictions, and hold prosecutors accountable because we know real justice requires more than just laws on paper; it requires courage, compassion, and community. I do this work because no one should be defined by their worst moment or by a system rigged against them. I’m proud to be part of a team that refuses to accept injustice as inevitable and instead imagines a future where equity and mercy guide our legal system.
