I have worked at LOOP Nola for a year, as both a camp counselor and outdoor adventure club intern. This organization has helped me become closer to Nature, and New Orleans. LOOP has helped me learn leadership skills, and skills that have helped me become more confident outdoors. I can now canoe and build a fire! It has overall been a fantastic program, that I have truly enjoyed.

LOOP NOLA's mission is to provide positive, life-changing outdoor experiences to children and youth in Greater New Orleans. We were founded to address the lack of opportunity for urban youth to experience the physical and mental health benefits of the outdoors and to develop a personal connection with nature. By experiencing outdoor activities in a safe and supportive environment, young people learn to push past perceived limitations and gain the confidence to reach for their lifelong goals.
