Life and Death are farcical, but I take deathcare very seriously as something we all must eventually face. A lack of education and resources for life's greatest inevitability is why I support Wake. Wake's programs address a critical gap in healthcare: deathcare. They provide assistance to people who are confronting death and dying. Whether you're wondering how to be sure your wishes are honored at the end of your life, concerned about making your death easier on loved ones, or scrambling to take care of the many issues that arise when a loved one dies, Wake can help. Wake has set a goal to raise $10,000 this GiveNOLA Day to support the first Community Deathcare Provider Training program. This training will teach participants skills to handle the challenges of end-of-life care that anyone can learn, as well as empower anyone to be able to support loved ones with death and dying.
