I have been fortunate to have a wonderful career as an engineer in the manufacturing industry. Unfortunately not everyone has access to the same opportunities. The 1881 Institute (named for the year Tuskegee University was founded) does amazing work developing the future workforce in engineering and advanced manufacturing. I'm happy to serve on the board. The 1881 Institute (1881) - named after the year the Tuskegee Institute was founded - is a nonprofit, workforce development initiative that prepares underrepresented populations for engineering careers through education, certifications and on-the-job-training.
