In 2006, right out of college, I found my way to the Louisiana Bucket Brigade—and while I didn’t know it at the time, it set me on a course for a lifetime of movement work. It wasn’t a single moment that changed my life, but rather the beginning of a deeper commitment to fighting for justice, community power, and a healthy future for South Louisiana and beyond. Almost two decades later, I’m still connected to the Bucket Brigade because their work remains as critical as ever. In a time of accelerating climate crisis, pollution, and attacks on frontline communities, the Brigade continues to stand strong with grassroots action and bold advocacy. This GiveNOLA Day, I’m proud to support the Louisiana Bucket Brigade’s unwavering work for environmental justice. Every contribution helps build a future where our communities can thrive.
