Has a pet made your life better? The good times, like going to a Mardi Gras parade (but not too close to the drums) or just sitting under a tree on a sunny day, are better when Captain and I are together. He's also ready to comfort me in the not-so-great times, whether the markets slapped me around one day or I have much deeper worries. I know many people who got through the darkest times with a dog or cat helping them find their way. Sadly, sometimes there are animals who need somebody to help them get through tough times. Whether it's medical treatment in the clinic or time to shine in the adoption area, those animals can count on the Louisiana SPCA.
