Recognizing that Louisiana's coastal land loss will have dramatic impacts on the nation's energy, navigation and fisheries interests, CRCL works at the state, local and federal levels to ensure that restoring and protecting coastal Louisiana is a top priority for our state and the nation. In our role as advocate and watchdog, CRCL insists that policy must be driven by science, not by politics, and projects are prioritized that will be the most effective. CRCL also serves as a responsible steward of Louisiana's rich coastal wetlands. We facilitate and fund community restoration projects through our Native Plants Program and Oyster Shell Recycling Program and work diligently to raise awareness and educate others about the importance of preserving and restoring coastal Louisiana through our outreach programs.
"Seeing the effects of Louisiana's coastal land loss crisis in person is surreal, and I am so excited about the work CRCL is doing to combat it." - Volunteer
"They provide quality information and programs about coastal issues and are action-oriented via their volunteer trips." - Marlene F.
"CRCL's work with public-private collaborations and the engagement of a new generation of conservationists is invaluable to the future of coastlines everywhere." - Celia R.
"CRCL is inclusive of all individuals and organizations who desire to save Louisiana's wetlands." - Thomas B.
