Bike Easy's mission is to make bicycling easy, safe, and fun for everyone in Greater New Orleans. We believe in the power of bicycling to help create a healthy, prosperous, resilient, and equitable future for all people in the region. 

Bike Easy envisions safe, convenient transportation options for everyone and the freedom to get around easily. We aim to share the joy of bicycling and make it an easy choice for everyone. 

We also know that streets safe for bicycling are safe for walking and vice versa. We imagine a future where people of all ages and abilities can bike, walk, and take transit safely in Greater New Orleans.

Members provide the financial and political support we need to effectively conduct our education, advocacy, and community programs. Your generous contribution is vital to expanding better biking across New Orleans.

Bike Easy is proud to share our many victories with you! In 2025 alone, we....

• Pushed to get City Council Resolution-25-430 passed, calling upon the LaDOTD to conduct a traffic-safety study of St. Claude Avenue, first of many steps to getting protected bike lanes on St. Claude Avenue. 

• Continued to build a strong bicycling community with over (#) attendees of our Bicycle Second Line.

• Held 36 Youth and Adult Bike Safety Educational Workshops.

• Distributed 133 bike light sets to people on bikes without lights.

• Held over (#) Bike Valet events and parked over 1,130 bikes making it easier, and safer for people to bike to local events.

• Expanded our Purple Way campaign - directing people to safe routes for walking, biking, and rolling during Carnival and festival season.

• Continued our BIKE TALK series- community conversations aiming to create spaces for the bike community to come together and exchange ideas- this time on the Louisiana Bootlace Trails Network!

• Represented the needs of vulnerable road users at over 45 local, regional, state and nationwide meetings
