The UFO Mobile Outreach Initiative

In many parts of New Orleans, the distance to a pet store or a foster home is the biggest hurdle to saving a life. When adoption is tucked away in a building, many incredible cats are never seen. At the same time, underserved neighborhoods often lack the local resources to manage community cat populations through TNR.

At UFO, we believe rescue shouldn't be stationary. That’s why we’re building the Cat Ambo.

This retired ambulance is being transformed into a professional, mobile hub that changes how our city handles rescue. Instead of waiting for the community to come to us, we are bringing the mission to them.

• Mobile Adoptions: By setting up at local markets and community events, we get more cats seen by more people. The Cat Ambo provides a safe, contained, and climate-controlled environment where neighbors can meet their future best friends right in their own backyard.

• Targeted TNR: We are taking the clinic directly into underserved areas to provide high-volume Trap-Neuter-Return services, stopping the cycle of overpopulation where it starts.

As a new nonprofit founded in 2024, this is our first GiveNOLA Day. We have the vision and the vehicle, but we need your help to cover the "road-ready" costs—insurance, fuel, and medical supplies—to officially launch in 2026.
