Strong readers are built through strong relationships between families, educators, and communities.
At the Center for Literacy & Learning, we know that literacy is the foundation for lifelong success. But we also know that children thrive when the adults in their lives are connected, supported, and equipped to work together. That’s why our work brings together literacy and family engagement to create lasting impact for children across Louisiana.
We partner with schools, educators, and community organizations to strengthen reading outcomes while also empowering families as active participants in their child’s education. Through evidence-based literacy programs, we help students build essential reading skills. Through professional learning and coaching, we equip educators with effective, research-based strategies. And through family-focused resources, we provide caregivers with practical tools to support learning at home.
When families understand how to support literacy development and feel confident engaging with schools, students benefit. They show up more prepared, more motivated, and more ready to succeed.
With your support, we can expand our reach and deepen our impact.
Your GiveNOLA Day donation helps us:
- Expand access to high-quality literacy programs for students
- Strengthen family engagement practices in schools and communities
- Train and support educators in effective reading instruction
- Provide families with tools and resources to support learning at home
When you give, you are investing in more than literacy. You are helping build a connected system of support around every child one that values families, equips educators, and creates opportunities for success.
Together, we can ensure that every child in Louisiana becomes a confident reader and that every family feels empowered to support their child’s future.
