Plant a Seed with Grow Dat!

Over the past three years, I have been incredibly privileged to witness over 120 young leaders come through the programs at Grow Dat. In my role on the development team, I am often behind the computer, but my favorite part of my job has always been spending time with the crews as they reflect on an inspiring quote of the day in opening circle, learn about sustainable farming while hand weeding our fields, or as they lead challenging conversations with our community at events. 

This GiveNOLA Day, a day in which the power of the collective shines bright, we are hoping to raise $20,000 to sustain this work into the new program year, and to further realize a more just and sustainable world for us all, starting right here in New Orleans' City Park. 

I know that for many, myself included, the world around us seems to be getting harder to face each day. I also know that our young people, and especially the incredible youth that I see on the farm, are our greatest hope for a better future.
