Baby Basics

When we started Love Your Neighbor NOLA, it was with 35 paper bags filled with individual diapers (10 per bag), a pack of wipes, and a few miscellaneous baby items. As we've grown, we have learned that it is more common than we knew that parents use the last of their baby formula with no money to replenish their supply, or call a case worker out of desperation because they can't leave the hospital without a car seat for their new baby.

This is where we step in. While WIC is a wonderful resource for formula, they offer monthly supplies, which often don't last as long as families need them, and families leaving the hospital with their newborn often face wait times of weeks prior to meeting a WIC consultant. Further, there are no nonprofits, hospitals, or organizations that offer car seats at no cost to families. Yet, we are often contacted to help a family who is ready to discharge but can't because their newborn doesn't have a seat for the ride home. 

Here is where you can help! Your donation will ensure babies are fed, transported home safely, and kept dry through the night. Funds raised through this campaign will go towards all of the essentials every baby needs.
