My birthday is coming up this month and what a fitting time to use the bless of my life to continue to serve and give back! I am asking for your support in raising funds to benefit an organization that functions as a critical resource for nonprofits in NOLA. The New Orleans Toolbank lends critical tools to organizations in order to BUILD and REBUILD our community. In times of disaster the Toolbank is there. The New Orleans ToolBank strengthens the Greater New Orleans region by giving service‑driven and charitable organizations affordable access to the professional‑grade tools and equipment they need to complete critical community projects. Instead of purchasing costly tools that may only be used occasionally, more than 150 member agencies rely on the ToolBank’s lending model—borrowing equipment for a small weekly handling fee of just 3% of the tool’s retail value. This allows organizations to save money, storage space, and staff time while focusing their limited resources on mission‑critical work.

Because of the ToolBank, community partners can build playgrounds, clean neighborhoods, plant trees, restore coastlines, clear litter, clean catch basins, paint murals, and so much more. By removing financial and logistical barriers, the ToolBank expands organizational capacity, promotes equity, and ensures that vital projects continue to move forward across the region. It is, quite literally, a force multiplier; one shared resource powering the impact of hundreds of organizations.
