Start the Adventure in Reading Celebrating 40 Years of Impact

For 40 years, our organization has been dedicated to expanding access to learning and opportunity. To date, we have served more than 9,250 students, distributed over 407,000 books, and provided an estimated 396,000 hours of tutoring—helping students build confidence, skills, and a brighter future.

Each year, we continue this mission by serving 150+ students across five in‑person sites—Gentilly, Uptown, Morris Jeff, Crocker, and Martin Behrman—while also supporting students virtually, who now make up one‑third of those we serve.

Looking ahead, our goal is to open 1–2 additional sites next school year to meet growing demand. To make this possible, we need both financial support and people power. We are actively seeking volunteers willing to tutor 1.5 hours per week for 10 weeks per semester.
