Zeus' Rescues

Zeus’ Rescues is dedicated to ending pet homelessness and unnecessary euthanasia in the Greater New Orleans area through rescue, rehabilitation, advocacy, and community support. Every day, we save animals from overcrowded shelters, dangerous situations, abandonment, and neglect—giving them the second, third, or ninth chance they deserve.

As a proud part of the national no-kill movement, Zeus’ Rescues receives no city or state funding and relies on the generosity of our community to continue this lifesaving work. Beyond rescue, we are deeply committed to building a more compassionate New Orleans through pet education, outreach, and support for families, children, and seniors.

Since our founding, Zeus’ Rescues has evolved to meet the changing needs of both animals and our community. Today, all rescue operations are centralized at our Freret Street headquarters, allowing us to maximize resources, reduce overhead, and focus more funding directly on lifesaving programs, medical care, foster support, and adoptions.

This strategic growth ensures that every dollar donated has the greatest possible impact for the animals who need us most.
