Touro Synagogue

A nonprofit organization

Touro Synagogue creates a haven for individual, family, and communal connection to Reform Judaism and to each other. Grounded in our enduring history and guided by our innovative spirit, we are an ever-evolving expression of Jewish faith, hope, possibility, meaning, and impact within our walls and beyond.

From the High Holidays and Jazz Fest Shabbat to events featuring players from the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, Jewish Latin American music, guest speakers, and singers, Touro Synagogue has year-round cultural programming that contributes to the vibrant fabric of the New Orleans community.

Leveraging technology, we endeavor to ensure that all are able to participate regardless of location, through our livestreaming of services and other events in high definition.

Funds raised through GiveNOLA Day 2025 will support the acquisition of improved cameras and streaming equipment for Touro's chapel, bringing it in line with the standard of our Main Sanctuary and dramatically improving the viewer experience.

Mission

Our mission is to lovingly nurture a warm, diverse home for Jewish living, while boldly shaping a community of purpose and connection.
