The Level Up Camp

The Level Up Camp mission is to encourage healthy lifestyles empower underrepresented communities to cultivate leadership, encourage healthy lifestyles. Providing resources such as ours, it helps rehabilitate communities to dwindle crime and violence by giving creditable instructions, training and guidance. As we measure our success through our project called "Save Our Youth Nola" where we provide mentorship and youth development by connecting them to positive common interest activities

The Level Up Campaign (LUC) was able to respond to emergencies during disasters such as Covid-19 pandemic, Hurricane Ida, and tornadoes. We had the opportunity to partner and assist The Department of Homeland Security program "Nola Ready" to distribute PPE and serve as a cooling center . LUC also distributed 44,000 pounds of food donated from Second Harvest Food Bank to many who were out of power, food, during the disasters.
March 14, 2020, we developed an idea to cook, prepare and deliver hot healthy meals to senior citizens and provide homework assistance for the city's youngest citizens. During the disasters the routes were active five times a week, delivering over 88,000 hot meals. The program successfully collected a database to 2000 families and was recognized by the Greater New Orleans Foundation. This opportunity led to the support our efforts within the L9 community bridging a gap amongst youth and senior citizens. Our projects and programs serve as a solution to stabilize the youth crisis. It also improves the academic performance of young individuals who were culturally impacted especially after hurricane Katrina. Our training transforms the way young people think, allowing them to express themselves through art and media. Our goal is to connect young adults to positive outlets, employment, and economic stability for our future leaders.

I DIDNT SEE ANYONE IN THE LOWER NINTH WARD HELPING THE COMMUNITY UNTIL I MET A GROUP OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET PASSING OUT FLIERS TO BRING ME MEALS. I RECEIVED MEALS EVER SINCE.
