Through generous donors, we help our neighbors and the community heal and live healthy, fulfilling lives. By connecting people to purpose, we will work together to improve the health and wellbeing of our community now and for future generations.
Funds raised through GiveNOLA Day this year will support St. Tammany Health System's efforts for its Healing Arts Initiative.
How Your Support Helps Patients
At St. Tammany Health System, we believe healing involves the whole person: mind, body, and spirit.
Creative expression can reduce stress, ease anxiety, improve mood, and offer a sense of calm during one's hospital stay. The Healing Arts Initiative provides free creative materials to patients and visitors to support comfort, relaxation, and emotional well‑being.
This program offer a variety of activities for all interests and ages including:
- Journals
- Coloring Books
- Word Search Books
- DIY Paint Kits
- Crayons
- Colored Pencils
- Other creativity-based items (as available)
Even a few minutes of coloring, journaling, or creating something with your hands can provide comfort and support during a healing journey.
