St. Paul Lutheran Church in the Marigny

St. Paul Lutheran Marigny has been here for 180+ years with open arms and open minds. We are Your neighbors. This is Your church. We believe that love flows from God, through us, to the world. This shapes our understanding of who we are in relationship to God, with others in the church, and with our community.

St. Paul Lutheran Church was established in 1840 located in the Faubourg Marigny area of New Orleans. It operated a day school from it's inception on the property from pre-school to 9th grades for members and the neighborhood. The school closed a few years ago when attendance dwindled. Currently the school building and offices are occupied by another nonprofit named The Roots of Music, which helps young children in the area with their school work and teach them how to play musical instruments.
