Song Community Development Corporation

Sông Community Development Corporation was established in 2021 to further community development efforts post-Hurricane Katrina and subsequent disasters. Rooted in the Vietnamese experience, Sông CDC advances a bold strategy for cultural resilience and community self-determination through power-building and anti-displacement efforts that protect the right to remain, return, and thrive.

We aim to build vibrant, thriving communities by revitalizing areas that have been impacted by disinvestment. Our key programs lead this work by strengthening climate and environmental resilience through nature-based solutions.

Local Food Ecosytems
We grow more than food. We cultivate power, access, and healing. Our food ecosystem work addresses systemic food insecurity by supporting community-owned agriculture and cultural foodways.
