Your donation helps provide free, hands-on STEM camps to students who otherwise wouldn't have access. Every dollar brings us closer to empowering the next generation of innovators and leaders.

Our Programs:

STEM Heads delivers engaging STEM learning experiences to local K–12 students through a range of year-round initiatives, including Summer STEM Camp, Holiday Camps, after-school programs, and community-based events.

Summer STEM Camp - An immersive, hands-on experience where students explore STEM topics through real-world challenges and creative projects. Campers design, build, experiment, and collaborate—gaining confidence, critical thinking skills, and a deeper curiosity about how the world works. Camp features special guest-speakers and weekly field-trips, as place-based learning facilitates connections to even more resources, mentorship opportunities, and career pathway exploration.

The Lab After School - A dynamic after-school community at Bethany UMC welcomes students for homework help and to learn test-taking strategies that support in-school learning. Participants stay to create, tinker, and innovate! Through guided projects and open-ended exploration, our scholars develop problem-solving skills, learn new technologies, and turn their ideas into tangible solutions in a supportive, low stakes environment. This is the space where curiosity and innovation becomes a habit.

Holiday Camp - As distinct as New Year’s is from Mardi Gras, Spring Break, and Thanksgiving, our Holiday Camps offer fun, flexible programing during school breaks to keeps students engaged with exciting STEM activities. Each session blends creativity and learning through culturally relevant themed projects, experiments, and challenges—giving students a productive and inspiring way to spend their time off.

Community Events - Find us out in the community bringing STEM to life through interactive activities, hands-on demonstrations, and accessible resources. Whether it’s a festival, school partnership, or neighborhood event, we create engaging experiences that connect families to resources and learning opportunities. We aim to make STEM learning visible, fun, and accessible for K-12th graders.

As an out-of-school educational group, we are committed to impacting the future of our youth and teens—especially those from underrepresented communities in STEM—through experiential, inquiry-driven learning, meaningful mentorship, and exposure to diverse career pathways.
