The Playful Pelican PlayLab

The Playful Pelican PlayLab was born from listening to families, educators, and community members asking for spaces that nurture curiosity and connection—especially for young children. While families on New Orleans’ West Bank are rich in culture, creativity, and community, they currently lack access to a safe indoor place where young children and caregivers can explore, learn, and connect together in a hands-on, developmentally appropriate environment. 

The Playful Pelican responds to this challenge by bringing high-quality, joyful learning experiences directly to West Bank families. Socially and culturally, The Playful Pelican creates a welcoming space that strengthens family bonds and builds community connection through hands-on learning.
