We are a non-profit focused on preserving the unique culture and history of New Orleans. We also strive to educate the public on local history and culture. We have worked with other non-profits to clean and restore many local monuments, including the World War I, Martin Luther King Jr., and Samuel Loewenberg monuments.
The R. E. Lee Monumental Association was formed by citizens of New Orleans to memorialize and honor those New Orleanians who perished in the war by erecting a monument to their beloved and respected leader Robert E. Lee.
