After the Anger is dedicated to supporting families raising children with special needs, especially those with autism, by providing both emotional and practical resources that are often missing in traditional systems of care.

Many parents and caregivers spend their days in survival mode—managing therapies, advocating in schools, navigating behavioral challenges, and carrying emotional weight that often goes unseen. At After the Anger, we intentionally create spaces where those same caregivers can pause, breathe, and be supported.

Through inclusive community events, monthly support groups, and wellness-centered programming, we provide opportunities for caregivers to step out of crisis mode and into environments focused on restoration, connection, and healing. Our work is rooted in honesty, validation, and real-life support—not just awareness, but action.

In addition to emotional support, we also provide direct advocacy assistance through our PAIS Program (Parent Advocacy & Information Support). This program helps families navigate complex systems such as IEP meetings, school placements, and access to services. We equip parents with the knowledge, language, and confidence to advocate effectively for their children—because no caregiver should feel lost or alone when fighting for the support their child deserves.

We center caregiver wellness because when caregivers are supported, families are stronger.

How Your $5,000 Donation Will Make an Impact

A $5,000 investment in After the Anger directly supports programming that provides relief, connection, advocacy, and resources to families in our community:

~ $2,000 – Respite & Community Events (Bunny Brunch, Support Group Saturdays, Family Events)
Covers venue costs, sensory-friendly activities, food, and accommodations so families can attend at little to no cost.

~ $1,250 – Caregiver Wellness Programming
Funds therapeutic workshops and experiences such as guided support sessions, creative healing activities (like canvas painting or plate smash therapy), and guest facilitators.

~ $1,000 – PAIS Program (Parent Advocacy & IEP Support)
Supports direct parent advocacy assistance, including IEP preparation, meeting guidance, resource navigation, and development of advocacy tools that help families secure appropriate services for their children.

~ $500 – Child Engagement & Sensory Support
Provides supervised play area equipment, sensory materials, and activities so children are safely engaged while caregivers participate in support sessions.

~ $250 – Outreach & Community Access
Ensures we can reach more families through marketing, partnerships, and community-based distribution—especially those who may not know support like this exists.

Why It Matters

Too many caregivers are overwhelmed, isolated, and unsupported—especially when it comes to both emotional wellness and navigating systems that impact their child’s future. After the Anger exists to change that by offering both a safe space to heal and the tools to advocate.

Your donation helps turn moments of burnout into moments of breakthrough—and confusion into confidence.
