The 3rd Line NOLA

The 3rd Line NOLA's mission is to restore the culture of New Orleans through its cultural framework and innovative means through the following: community engagement, environmental technology, workforce/economic development, & cultural preservation.

Who we are:

The 3rd Line NOLA, is a nonprofit consulting firm that was established, May 2024, in District E-New Orleans East, as a solution to combat inequities within disadvantaged underserved communities centered around the areas of voter education, civic engagement, innovative workforce & economic development, environmental justice, and educational opportunities with the New Orleans 2nd Line cultural framework.

Cultural context: The 3rd Line name stems from utilizing the sacred cultural practice within the
Afro-Creole traditions in New Orleans; traditions defined into the categories of two
groups: the band leading the mourning family, with the 2nd line bringing the community to
comfort the family affected through celebration of life. The 3rd line adds a new layer of
bringing resources to families impacted, with the focus of restoration of community
sustainability.
