We work to build and empower New Orleans' civic leaders.

A better New Orleans is possible — but it requires informed, engaged community leaders who know how to make change. CBNO equips everyday residents with the knowledge, networks, and skills to shape the future of our city and hold systems accountable.

And it’s working.

From reaching 37,000 voters with trusted election information to training thousands of residents on how the City works, CBNO turns civic engagement into real results: stronger participation, better decisions, and more responsive government.

Your support helps build a stronger democracy — and a New Orleans that works for everyone.

Testimonials

"You can't advocate for changes if you don't know who to go to or how to do it. CBNO taught me such important information about New Orleans's governmental structure and decision-makers.  I know who to call now." - Shirani, Leadership Forum Graduate

"You helped me find joy in the work again" - Pamela, Advocate

"ANYONE can get something done in the city if they really want to. It takes a little guts and people skills. Also, it's not as hard to be heard in the rooms I feel aren't made for me. I learned that while some movements will take time, they are not impossible. Also that I really can put myself out there more and take some initiative on a larger scale within the city. 1 hat isn't enough!" - Brie, Leadership Forum Graduate
